Veterinary Chiropractic

Improve Animal Mobility

What is Veterinary Chiropractic? Veterinary chiropractic evolved alongside human chiropractic. It is a manual therapy that uses very specific adjustments to restore optimal movement and function to the body. Practitioners use their hands to assess joint motion and to locate dysfunctional or restricted areas. A very specific, high velocity and low amplitude adjustment is applied to restore normal motion. Due to the close relationship between the spine, the nervous system and general body function, chiropractic treatment has a profound impact on the animal’s coordination, balance and the body’s natural ability to heal. When applied effectively, chiropractic care can make a significant contribution to an animal’s overall wellbeing. Is it safe? Yes - I am a fully trained and certified veterinary practitioner. All chiropractic adjustments are carried out within the normal range of motion and therefore carry a very low risk. Certification is only available to fully qualified veterinarians and human chiropractors. I have an intimate knowledge of animal anatomy and biomechanics and have undergone many hours of post-graduate training to palpate (feel) and treat chiropractic problems. Most animals tolerate adjustments very well, and many show immediate signs of relief or improved movement. How could chiropractic treatment benefit my animal? Veterinary chiropractic has many applications and is used to treat: - Performance & gait changes - Musculoskeletal issues - Pain & behavioural changes - Maintenance & wellness care Please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss if chiropractic might be the right therapy to support your animal.
